in about 45 minutes i will be leaving for the NC Comedy Arts Festival in chapel hill, nc. i’ve never been to either chapel hill or a comedy festival. it’s showcase-based, i.e. not a competition; i’m slated to do 2 sets (8-10 minutes each), plus i signed up for an open mic tonight. i haven’t decided what i’m going to say yet, but i guess that’s what i’ll do while i’m hiding in my hotel room. my bits tend to be about 2 minutes long, so i’ll just string together 4 of them into a decent narrative, leaving me with 2 minutes allotted for gut-busting laughter. in other words, the usual.
