Last week, news of a syphilis outbreak in the adult film industry made headlines. Soon after, porn star Mr. Marcus left a voicemail for porn industry blogger Mike South, in which he admitted that he had contracted the infection and kept his diagnosis a secret.

y’all. i just found out that mr. marcus is probably the one responsible for the recent syphilis outbreak in the porn industry and i’m reeling from it. a lot of porn seeped into my subconscious during my tenure at the smut shop - it became ambient noise after a while - but mr. marcus was always one of my faves. he did good work. always seemed to want the girls to have a good time. that’s much more fun to watch than some guy mindlessly drilling into a young lady. i get that he was too embarrassed to come forward, but C’MON, SON. he fucked up an industry with this. he could have done it quietly and just been referred to as PATIENT ZERO or something like that. ugh. how sad. well, it’s nice to know that porn can still shock me.
