so i had a really great stand up set last night and managed to make it home in time for my power hour and i settled in for the daily show and during the second act, this chick shows up:

i’ve been trying to ignore olivia munn, which hasn’t been hard because i only just got the G4 channel and i never watch it. her name just pops up from time to time and i figured she was one of those Maxim-approved “hotties” who could drape their bikini-clad bodies over the hood of a car and talk about what kind of motor oil that car takes. so many of those dames have come & gone, i don’t even notice when they try to reclaim their spots by talking about vaccine-induced autism (sexy!).

so what i’m saying is: who the fuck is olivia munn and why is she in my porno on my favorite show?

my gut reaction was, “really? the hottie of the moment, TDS? ugh.” then i though about the lack of female writers on the show and my stomach turned. then i watched the segment - and it wasn’t bad. she was pretty good. *shrugs*

what? look, i’m trying to change my hatin’ ways.

starting out on that show is rough. people are hard on you at first (i’m sorry i ever doubted you, jason jones). the excellent mondosalvo mentioned to me that wyatt cenac has improved greatly with time (although i thought he was pretty good his first time out). I’m hearing that this was a try-out, so kudos to munn for being…okay.

and i gotta tip my ovaries to any chick who can break down that late nite boys’ club wall, brick by brick.

so i should just push the nagging feeling that “she’s being considered simply to bring in the oh-so-important 18-32 male demographic” to the side, right? because in this economy, shit - work is work.
