have we learned nothing from macgruber?

let’s just stop this right now. RIGHT NOW.

there is no need for a movie about tom cruise’s “les grossman” character from tropic thunder. no need whatsoever.

i get it. it was a funny little cameo in a funny little movie (a funny little movie that came out 2 years ago), but it’s the type of character that works best in small doses. a whole 100+ minutes on the guy? please stop beating me about the head and shoulders with your overkill stick. tropic thunder director ben stiller has been doing a variation of this for years and even he knows to keep it to a sketch length.

and let’s be real: not the funniest part of that movie. certainly not $11 funny. actually, not even $8.50 matinee funny.

tom, i know you’re trying to get us to love you again and i understand that risky business residuals isn’t gonna keep suri in high heels forever. but this is not the way to do it. try to find another magnolia in that huge stack of scripts on your desk.
