in my head, i have written one of the most touching eulogies you could ever imagine for adam yauch aka MCA. the piece goes on and on about how i grew up with the beastie boys and they were extremely influential in my life and how the death of MCA basically means the death of beastie boys and cancer stinks and and and.
but there are roughly 1,000,000 of those being posted as we speak and a third of those are possibly beautifully written, not hastily thrown together. also, i realized that the pain i’m feeling - and i’m feeling a lot of pain, more than i thought i would - is intensely personal and probably best worked out in the pages of my actual diary, ink on paper in cursive. so that’s where i’ll be if you want to talk about MCA.
